Group Textile Machinery was founded in 1951. It represent the Dutch companies that construct, develop and/or manufacture machines and accessories for the textile industry worldwide.

GTM is a member of CEMATEX , the European Committee of Textile Machinery Manufacturers. Members of CEMATEX are the textile machinery association of Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and the Netherlands. CEMATEX is the owner of the world leading textile machinery exhibition ITMA.
